Return Policies

All returns and exchanges require the original store receipt - no exceptions can or will be made.

Purchases over $50, when eligible for cash refund, will be issued a refund cheque for the purchase price within 14 days of the return.

Privacy Policy

The information gathered during the course of sale will be used solely for Gigabytes Computer Store’s internal business. It is not our policy to sell our customer’s information to third parties.

New Computers

Gigabytes has a 30-day return policy on New Computers. For all large purchases, the customer will be issued a refund check or in-store credit for the computer within 14 days of the return.

Used Computers

Used computers may be returned within 30 days for exchange or in-store credit if the unit is found to be defective. All materials and software purchased with the computer must be returned with the computer for exchange or credit.

Refurbished Computers

Refurbished computers are classified as used.

New Parts

All new part returns must be returned within 30 days and have all original packaging, contents and manuals included with the part at the time of purchase or a 10% restocking fee applies. New Parts are eligible for cash refund (when available), refund cheque, exchange, or in-store credit.

Special Orders

All Special Orders over $20 are subject to a $10 or 15% (whichever is greater) re-stocking fee.

Used Parts

Used parts returned withing 30 days are eligible for exchange or in-store credit at the customer's option.

Software

Software (including opened software) returned within 30 days in salable condition (as determined by Gigabytes), are eligible for Exchange or in-store credit.

Gigabytes Software

Gigabytes Software returned within 30 days in salable condition (as determined by Gigabytes), are eligible for a full cash refund.

Consumables

Open Consumables such as ink, media, or air dusters may not be returned under any circumstance. Unopened consumables may be returned under the new parts return policy.

Labor and Shipping

Labor and Shipping costs cannot be refunded.

In-Store Credit Defined

In-store credit is the same as cash when it is used for purchases at Gigabytes Computer Stores and has no expiration date. In-store credit may be transferred but may not be redeemed for cash.
