Warranties

All warranties are considered void if the customer enlists third-party technical assistance during the warranty period without referral from the issuing store.

Gigabytes Computer Store will not warranty any technical assistance provided by third parties including on-site, remote, or any other technical assistance.

Labor Warranties: Technical Services or Technical Support

All labor (both in-house and on-site) is covered under a 7-day warranty. Should the same problem(s) the labor was purchased for return within 7 days, this warranty will cover all subsequent Gigabytes Computer Store labor required to solve the problem for up to 7 days. This warranty is re-issued each time Gigabytes labor is used whether initially or inside the warranty period. Limitations: This warranty is considered void should any of the following occur A.) the computer completes support with recognized unresolved issues. B.) the customer seeks third-party technical support on any issue after the warranty is activated. C.) the computer is infected or re-infected with a computer virus, malware, or spyware. D.) The customer, end-user, or other party installs or re-installs software listed on the Gigabytes Software Blacklist. Phone support is not considered labor.

Labor Warranties: New or Used Computers

Labor warranties, regardless of the length of the warranty or type of computer they apply to, only cover labor related to parts replacement.

Parts Warranties: New or Used Computers

Any parts warranty, regardless of the length of the warranty or the type of computer it applies to, only covers the replacement cost of the part itself. It does not cover installation labor, shipping costs, service fees, testing, restocking fees, or any other costs involved in part replacement. Gigabytes will replace any part proved to be defective through any means it deems appropriate or necessary. This warranty does not cover mutilation, abuse or misuse of the part or hardware, complete or total destruction of the part or hardware in any form, hardware upgrades, and hardware changes, modifications or enhancements made by the end-user or Gigabytes Computer Store except when that change is a warranty replacement.

Used Parts: (Any part that does not have or no longer is eligible for manufacturer's warranty. In some cases, parts that are near the end of their manufacturer's warranty may be classified as an in-warranty used part.) Used parts are covered under a 30 -day DOA (Dead On Arrival) parts warranty. If the used part is proved defective, the part may be exchanged for another (if available) or for in-store credit.

Used Computers: Gigabytes has a 30 -day DOA parts and labor warranty on all used computers. If any part of the used computer is proved defective, the part or computer (at Gigabytes' discretion)may be exchanged for another or the computer may be exchanged for in-store credit.

Gigabytes Software:If any software manufactured by Gigabytes Computer Store is found to be defective in either the media or the programming itself, will replace the media and/or software for the useful operational life of the software. This warranty does not cover mutilation, abuse or misuse of the software, complete or total destruction of the media in any form, media upgrade, media changes, media enhancements made by the end-user or Gigabytes Computer Store (including packaging), magnetic media, or any copies made of the media or software (legal or otherwise). License violations will void this warranty. To claim this warranty, the software, packaging an all related documentation must be returned, in whole to Gigabytes Computer Store. A minimum of 80% of the media must be intact including any labeling on the media. This warranty does not cover label or packaging damage and is only available to the registered user of the software. Gigabytes Computer Store reserves the right to refuse replacement to anyone for any reason.

New Parts

Subject to manufacturer's warranties from the time of purchase.

Gigabytes Limited Lifetime Warranty

Limited Lifetime Parts Warranty covers all parts within the computer itself (excluding monitor and peripherals) plus the keyboard, mouse, speakers, as long as the customer owns the computer. This only covers the parts that originally came with the computer system and their replacements as replaced under warranty by Gigabytes Computer Store. The customer is responsible for all costs involved in replacing any part under warranty as well as providing Gigabytes Computer Store with all necessary documentation including, but not limited to receipts, copies of the manufacturers' warranty, and positive identification. This warranty does not cover shipping or labor costs associated with parts diagnostics or replacement. This warranty does not cover mutilation, abuse or misuse, complete or total destruction of the computer or related parts in any form, “acts of God” (such as fire, flood, earthquake, tornado, hurricane and all other such forms of damage), upgrades, hardware changes, hardware enhancements made by the end-user, customer, or third parties, or any and all software related issues. Gigabytes Computer Store reserves the right to cancel this warranty at any time, without notice, for any reason.
