To reset the customer information on a computer
already running Windows, do the following:
1. Click on "Start" then "Run".
2. Type "regedit" in the run box and
click "OK"
3. On the left-hand side of the Regedit window, find the
folder “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" and click the plus [+] next to the folder.
4. Click the plus [+] next to Software, then
Microsoft, then Windows.
5. Select the CurrentVersion folder by clicking on
it once so that it is highlighted.
6. On the right-hand side find ProductID and double-click
it.
7. Enter the new Product ID in the box.
8. Repeat steps 6 & 7 for ProductKey,
RegisteredOrganization, and RegisteredOwner. Be sure to enter the appropriate
values for each.
9. Exit the Registry Editor by clicking the "X"
in the upper right-hand corner.
10. Double-click on the clock in the lower right-hand
corner.
11. Change the time and time zone to the appropriate for
your customer.

12. If you delete the product key, the registered
user and the organization, when the computer Reboots, the customer will be
prompted to re-enter their registration information.
