OpenCCG How To
Host a Game
Written By Josh Tordsen
Hosting a game is one of the things you will be doing most often.

You will need a venue that will accommodate the number of players in your group. Card shops are a good place to start - particularly if there are other groups playing. However, holding games in your home is perfectly acceptable.

You will generally need a card table per 2 players.  Tables 6-8 feet will generally accommodate 2 games at a time.

When you host a game you can get as creative or as basic as you want.  You can hold special events or special games.  You can pretty much do whatever you like.  Here are a few ideas:
  • Grudge match night
  • New player night
  • potluck
  • pizza party
  • Holiday party
  • Halloween party
  • marathon play
  • lock-in
  • birthday party
  • group anniversary
  • spouse's night
Groups may have other ideas.  If you hold a special event and want to let others know or let others know the result, send us an e-mail at openccg@gigastrand.com.
